Belmont Castle Academy PTA

Parents at Belmont Castle Academy automatically become members of our Parent Teacher Association (PTA), when their child joins the school. The PTA works extremely well to develop and promote our diverse school community, to provide a strong link between school and home and to raise funds to provide resources and activities, which the school would not otherwise be able to afford.  To do this, the PTA organises numerous events each year, including the Summer Fete, the Christmas Fayre and the Year 6 Leavers BBQ.

Children are always very excited to see their parents involved in supporting BCA through the PTA, whether in becoming a part of the PTA Committee or by helping at events.

We are always looking for input and suggestions on what else we can do to support our school.  If you have any comments or ideas, we can be contacted either via our Belmont Castle Academy Facebook page or by emailing out chairperson at bca-pta@hotmail.co.uk.

Registered Charity

The Charities Act 1993 requires organisations such as ours, with an annual income more than £1000, to register with the Charity Commission.  As a charity,
we must abide by the Charity Commission rules and regulations and we are bound by the constitution. Our Constitution lays down rules about how we operate
as a PTA and how we conduct ourselves.

Reasons to join the PTA

1. It’s for the kids!

The role of every parent association is to better the school experience for EVERY child – quite simply the best reason to get involved.

2. Be part of a community

It’s an opportunity to build a strong community with a common goal, making the overall experience of your child’s school better for everyone.

3. Raise important funds

With stretched school budgets, the work you do to help the school funds is as important as ever. You can help support many projects for children in schools like buying new equipment and improving libraries and play areas.

4. Make friends

Lots of our members have made friends through their PTA. Being involved makes it easier to get to know more people and helps you get more familiar with the school and everyone there.

We’re calling all parents, family and friends to be a part of this too. It doesn’t have to be a full-time commitment, no matter how much time you can give, any help is hugely appreciated.
